Skin Whitening in Islamabad

Your dermatologist can apply a chemical solution to your skin. This causes blisters and eventually peels off, creating new, regenerated skin that is usually smoother than the old.

Peeling usually causes redness and sometimes swelling and cold sores that last up to seven days. This treatment is also cheaper because usually only one treatment session is required.

"Lasers are more precise, so when a chemical peel doesn't help, a laser is often tried," says Dr.Kassouf's notes.

Microneedling
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, uses a fine needle roller or pin to create tiny holes in the top layer of skin. The procedure stimulates the production of collagen, which improves fine lines and skin texture.

Redness occurs later and usually lasts for several days. Most people need four to six microneedling treatments to get the best results.

Depending on your needs, your doctor may use more than one type of treatment. For example, they can treat some scars with a laser and others with microneedling.

"If you have damaged skin, no amount of treatment can restore its perfect appearance," explains Dr. cassouf. “But depending on the severity, an acne scar can shrink by up to two-thirds after treatment.”

Swab
If you have a pitted scar that is not healing well with standard care, your doctor may decide to do a swab.

"This is where the entire scar and hair follicle are removed before they come out again," says Dr. cassouf.

The scar is completely removed by piercing the top layer of skin with the round instrument. Skin sutures are then used to close the area, which should result in a smaller, flatter scar that will fade over time.

 Subcision
Another treatment that may be helpful prior to a laser or peel is subcision, a procedure that removes scar tissue that is attached to muscle or deeper tissue so it can move freely.

This technique, using a surgical probe or needle, is used on deeper scars to bring them to the surface and improve their response to laser, chemical peel, or microneedling.

You may notice some bruising for about a week or two after the procedure.

Fillers
Yes, fillers are generally used to treat wrinkles & Skin Whitening in Islamabad Pakistan . But they can also be used for sunken acne scars.

Hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane® and Juvederm® help tighten skin and smooth sunken areas, while collagen fillers like Bellafill® tighten acne scars and add volume.

Sculptra®, a poly-L-lactic acid filler, stimulates collagen production over time to lift buried acne scars.

Your doctor may also suggest autologous fat transfer, in which fat is taken from another part of the body and injected into the acne scar area.

Swelling, redness and discolouration can occur with all types of fillers. Multiple treatments may be required depending on the type of filler used. If you have a pitted scar that is not healing well with standard care, your doctor may decide to do a swab.
